This juried exhibition of student work has been a Design Gallery tradition since 1992. Now open to students throughout the University of WI-Madison campus, submissions will be from design based disciplines including Graphic, Interior, Textile, Apparel, Furniture, Theater Design and Landscape Architecture.

Design 2011, the Design Studies Department's annual juried exhibition, has been a department tradition since 1992. Throughout the year, students in textile, apparel and interior design reserve their best projects for this exhibit, juried by design more.



N[e]W[e]ave: Five Contemporary Weavers

Exhibition: April 5, 2011 - April 27, 2011.

This invitational exhibition featured the work of Katie Glusica, Claudia Herbst-Tait, Bethanne Knudson, Christy Matson and Michael Radyk. The exhibit embraced old and new technologies: some used hand manipulated processes, others were conceived in 3D software and were woven on industrial more.



"Cozy Shelter" Knitted Installation

After 3 weeks of knitting scarves, Design Studies students and Madison community knitters began the knitted installation work at the bus shelter at 227 State Street on September 30th. The installation remained up until October 11, more.
